Everyone crochets different. Some looser, some tighter so you really do need to rely on measuring your crown size (the size of the circle you make before you stop increasing.) This pattern fit my 7 year old daughter. the hat sizing chart can be found here: http://knottyknotty.blogspot.ca/2013/11/new-and-improved-hat-sizing-chart-free.html Kristihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10950069164463587673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4370837231489787771.post-22496458828477716542015-01-13T07:38:22.939-08:002015-01-13T07:38:22.939-08:00What size is the hat in the pattern? Then it will fit the proper hat size. I hope that makes sense. Do check out the hat chart. <br />You can experiment with the number of stitches you start in your magic ring. I would do anywhere from 10-13 sts depending on how tightly you crochet, yarn size, hook etc. Its a bit of trial and error, but once you get it you will be able to size any hat. Good luck!Kristihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10950069164463587673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4370837231489787771.post-30499241597118584952014-02-07T06:26:22.144-08:002014-02-07T06:26:22.144-08:00Hi, I'm picking up crocheting after MANY year...Hi, I'm picking up crocheting after MANY years of not doing it.
